“I am extremely happy to appoint Nepal’s youngest Japanese language instructor as my personal assistant,” wrote the scientist Kamano in an email sent to family members. “It is a rare case. I have not noticed such a young language trainer even in Japan.”
Kamano has worked with the University of Arizona in the U.S. as department head of science for more than two decades and has conducted research on over 500 different plant species. Kamano is currently conducting research on the plant Kenaf (popularly known as sunpat in Nepal) on its properties to reduce pollution.
