Japanese acting ambassador calls on PM Nepal (Kantipur Daily)
KATHMANDU, JUN 22 -
Acting Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Tadashi Fujiwara called on Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal at the latter’s office in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the duo discussed Nepal-Japan friendship and issues of bilateral interest, PM Nepal’s Press Advisor Bishnu Rijal informed.
The prime minister appraised the Japanese envoy about his efforts to forge consensus between the political parties to draft the new constitution in the extended timeframe by taking the peace process to a definite conclusion, according to Rijal.
Likewise, the Japanese diplomat expressed his commitment to continue supporting the Nepal government and political parties to conclude the peace process and statute drafting.
Fujiwara, while expressing his confidence that Nepal would head towards political stability and economic prosperity after the promulgation of new constitution, assured PM Nepal of more active support from Japan in the days to come.
